Video Scriptwriter, Social Media Content

Job Overview:

As a Video Scriptwriter, you will be responsible for writing scripts for 1-minute videos for YouTube Shorts and full-length videos for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook. The scripts will cover a wide range of topics, from news articles to how-to guides, and are expected to inform, keep people’s attention, and encourage them to interact on different platforms, including our website.

Key Responsibilities:

• Script Creation: Write engaging video scripts tailored for various platforms, ensuring they resonate with the target audience and efficiently deliver the message.
• Research and Development: Conduct research to ensure factual accuracy and relevance of content.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the creative team to ensure the script aligns with the visual storytelling.
• Trend Analysis: Stay updated with the latest trends in social media content to ensure our videos have the potential to go viral.
• Feedback Incorporation: Revise scripts based on feedback to ensure they meet set standards and deadlines.
• Content Strategy: Collaborate with the content team to align video scripts with the overall content strategy and brand voice.

Qualifications:

• Education: BA in Journalism, Communication, Marketing, or a related field is a plus.
• 3+ years of experience in video scriptwriting, preferably for social media platforms.
• Strong research skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to simplify complex concepts.
• Strong writing and editing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple scripts and projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Pay Range:

$15/hour

The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. The range listed is just one component of Unicode Media’s total compensation package for employees. Other compensation may include profit-sharing, and short- and long-term incentives.
