An exciting Policy Analyst opportunity to support the Association of Renewable Energy and Clean Technology (REA)’s ambitious work on Biomass and Bioenergy.

You’ll be supporting the UK’s transition to a greener energy system, and helping shape business strategy in response to the ever changing external political and renewable energy policy landscape.

The role will sit within the REA’s joined entity, Biomass UK, working to become the “go-to” person on relevant policy areas, inputting their work into other bioenergy technologies including themes of BECCS and Energy from Waste and reporting this into the wider policy team.

Central to the role is identifying, understanding, and analysing issues affecting their members which are made up of a both engineering companies, suppliers and investment institutions.

To apply for this Public Affairs Officer role, you will need a minimum of a year’s experience in a similar role or relevant academic knowledge. You will also require the following:

  • An understanding of UK parliamentary and policy processes
  • Experience in or ability to manager stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in or demonstrable passion for the renewable energy sector, specifically bioenergy.
