Our client is seeking a motivated and analytical Junior Business Analyst to join their team. The role is based in Marlow, Buckinghamshire.
About the Company:
Our client is an innovative software house based in Buckinghamshire that specialise in Advisory, Consultation, Procurement, Technology and IT Outsourcing.
The team are working to revolutionise the supply chain and logistics industry. They enable supply chain transparency and provide real-time data on sustainability, fair-trade and carbon usage through cloud hosted data environments, micro services, android and IOS applications.
Clients include major international retailers across the Food, FMCG and Pharmaceutical industries and one of the world’s leading facilities management companies. They also work closely with UK and EU government bodies and are currently developing more platforms to facilitate trade.
The Role:
As a Junior Business Analyst, you will be responsible for assisting in the analysis and evaluation of business processes, systems, and data to support decision-making and drive operational improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in gathering, documenting, and analysing business requirements from stakeholders and users
- Conduct research, data collection, and analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiencies
- Support senior business analysts in creating detailed business process models, use cases, and functional specifications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement business solutions, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and objectives
- Perform data cleansing, validation, and verification to ensure accuracy and integrity of data used for analysis
- Prepare and present reports, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders and management
- Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) and quality assurance (QA) activities to ensure successful implementation of business solutions
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to business analysis and contribute innovative ideas to enhance processes and methodologies
- Provide support in ad hoc analysis, data mining, and reporting requests as needed
About You:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field
- 0-3 years of professional experience in relevant software services, preferably SAAS
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Knowledge of business analysis methodologies, tools, and techniques.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and present findings to stakeholders at various levels
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated and eager to learn, with a proactive approach to work and a willingness to take on new challenges.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
