Hertfordshire County Council Children’s Services Improvement & Transformation Team are recruiting Project Managers.

We are offering roles with involvement in high profile and priority work for Children’s Services and partners, and opportunities to contribute to improvements across social care, health and education.
We are interested in hearing from Project Managers who have worked in this and other project management fields.
The Improvement & Transformation Team is involved in a wide range of major projects and programmes across the Inclusion & Skills Directorate, including SEND. There is a particular focus on the SEND Improvement Plan, which involves working with colleagues across Children’s Services, health and education partners and families, to progress a framework of continuous improvement. The Project Manager will take responsibility for a number of projects both large and small, as well as having wider involvement in tasks across our improvement work.
We are looking for experienced Project Managers with highly developed skills and knowledge of effective project management techniques. You will have the ability to develop, monitor progress and report on outcomes for an array of projects. You will have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines. Strong communication skills are important, including the ability to adapt communication to different audiences. You will have the necessary collaborative skills and resilience to be able to work well with a wide range of stakeholders and partners on the delivery of projects which will improve how services are delivered.
A project management or related qualification is desirable, although significant experience will also be considered.
